Dear Sirs,

Recently we launched our home built NORMAN 40 ref 130, due to limited time frame our sea trial was from Plymouth England to the Caribbean, which involved force 8 / storm force conditions in the Biscay.

We were very pleased with how she withstood 3 days and nights of extreme weather and recorded max. speed of 16 knts even with lines trailed and storm sail !

There is no doubt she is a tough ship.

On our arrival at Lissabon to repair torn sails we found we were least damaged compared with two new French built production yachts who had sustained major damage in the same conditions, loosing their mast.
