THUMB is a fast dinghy. Beamy enough to stay upright in a strong wind. The almost flat bottom permits rapid planing. The building method is simple. Templates are made of all plywood parts. They can be sawn exactly to size in advance, then sewed together and 'welded' with epoxy. The lightest trailer is sufficient to transport this 90 kg boat. Winter storage is no problem. A nice boat for those wishing to gain D.I.Y. experience.
